Hey guys! You probably already know this, but my name is Alicia Jo and I have a job that really doesn't seem like a "job", because I absolutely love what I do!

As a native of Yancey County, I am pleased be part of the artist community. In 2005, I graduated from McDowell Technical Community College with a degree in Photographic Technology. Currently, I own MAC Photo Studios, a wedding and portrait photography business. I’ve been shooting weddings with a photojournalistic flair since 1999. It's so amazing to be a part of someone's wedding day! I truly love the fact that I am creating photographs so their memories will last forever. All of my work is digital which gives me much more creative freedom to work on the images and make them one of a kind. I can also come out to your home and shoot your family portraits.

Children portraits are much better when they are taken where the child is most comfortable. I also love to shoot documentary and some fine art work. My last exhibit was at the Mayland and it featured photographs from Halls Chapel Church, which I have been documenting for several years.
